American Red Cross CPR, First Aid, and AED Certification Course

Build the confidence and practical skills needed to respond when a medical emergency occurs.

This instructor-led CPR, First Aid, and AED training course is designed for employees, supervisors, educators, caregivers, community members, and others who want to be prepared to respond safely and effectively during an emergency.

Participants will receive hands-on instruction and guided practice in recognizing emergencies, providing immediate care, and using an automated external defibrillator until emergency medical services arrive.

Course Topics Include:

  • Recognizing and responding to cardiac emergencies
  • Performing high-quality CPR
  • Using an automated external defibrillator
  • Responding to choking emergencies
  • Identifying and managing common first aid situations
  • Controlling bleeding and caring for wounds
  • Responding to sudden illnesses and injuries
  • Understanding the emergency action steps
  • Protecting yourself while providing care
  • Working effectively until professional responders arrive

This course combines instructor-led instruction, demonstrations, skills practice, and practical assessment to help participants feel more prepared to act during an emergency.

Participants who successfully complete the course requirements will receive an American Red Cross certification in CPR, First Aid, and AED training.
